Norman Nardini Official e-Newsletter Issue #8 ◊ March 2009 Bridge to Nowhere Smithfield Street Productions is releasing a new motion picture entitled Bridge to Nowhere which was filmed in Pittsburgh. The song Rock n’ Roll City, which was written in 1977 by Norman, Frank Czuri, and Warren King, is featured in this film. This song has been recorded by Diamond Reo, Norman, and Bobbie Bandiera. It was also played live by the Pittsburgh band Torn and Frayed. Norman’s version from the Redemption cd can be heard coming from the jukebox in a bar scene in the movie. How fitting! Bonafide Update Norman’s old friend from back in the 70’s, Larry Siefers, joined the Manful Handful last month to add some very tasteful keyboards to the new cd. People Takin Care and Play both filled out very nicely. Larry is the keyboard player with Pure Gold and was also the driving force behind Gene’s Blues Bar’s 10 year reign. You also may have seen him on several of the do-wop shows on WQED. Moondog’s Outlaw All-Stars If you missed them last time, Norman and the band will be joined by Kenny Blake, Gil Snyder and Glenn Pavone for the ‘Moondog’s Outlaw All-Stars’ once again. Norman said that “it is a whole lot of fun playing on stage, with all of the colors of the rainbow……That is what playing with the Outlaw All-Stars feels like.” You don’t want to miss this show!
