Pizon's Place: Rt 51, Smock, PA 15480 (724) 677-2737
10 PM- 2 AM - Sat.
Tonight gave a lot of rock n roll people a chance to get together and
let it rip! How could that be wrong? "Bulldog" gave the soundman a
chance to get it together. Then right into "Rock N Roll City", "White
Trash Tragedy" and "High Times". Everybody was gettin' off. New song
"Graceland" was very well received. The first set closed out with a
smokin' version of "Smoke Two Joints". Set two: "That Ain't Gonna
Happen", "I Seen Too Much", "Who Dat Do Dat", Mr Right Now" and "You Go
Your Way". The old Ray Charles classic "I Can't Stop Lovin' You" got a
lot of couples out on the dance floor. Norman spoke of his beloved
Pittsburgh Steelers and the place went nuts! HERE WE GO...HERE WE
GO...PITTSBURGH'S GOIN' TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!! "She's a friend of Mine"
by request. Then as Norman screamed out "Love Dog", the whole joint was
barkin'! Encore! A wonderful Halloween Elvis came up to the stage, then
Harry kissed the Elvis. Then everybody jammed out "Route 66". Elvis has
left the building.

Halloween Party!!!
"I'm Man Cause I Can" and "Playin In A Rock N
Roll Band". "Two Story House", "You Go Your Way, "Down To My Last
Million Tears". Pretty cool opening huh?! Bartender Mary (dressed as a
nun) was a turn-on. "Three Times Your Fool" by request sounded powerful.
Very cool version of Bobby Boris Pickett's classic "Monster Mash".
Norman crushed on the guitar solo. "End Of The Line" is really gettin'
strong. It had a serious slide solo tonight. Was tonight's show recorded
for an official bootleg release? How do rumors get started? Chuck
Koehler got up and did a great job singin' "Hand Jive" and Elvis's
"Teddy Bear". The second set, which opened with "That Ain't Gonna
Happen", "I Seen Too Much" and "Who Dat Do Dat" got the girls up from
the audience dancin'. "Rock You", "That Girl", "High Times", "Who Were
You Thinking Of" and a brand new Norman song called "Shackin' Up". The
Rat man got up to sing "Rat Man" and "Wild Thing". And there was an
eclipse of the moon tonight!

Man about town Bruce Nutt introduced the guys and it all happened right
there and that small Columbus night club. "Bulldog", "Boilermaker",
"Looks Are Deceivin'". One of those nights where the manful hanful,
Whitey and Harry just make it all look so easy. Nice mix of normal
people (whatever that means). Hippies & Punkers in cow town. "White
Trash Tragedy" was well received. "Graceland" and "Rock n' Roll City"
also stood out. "Sick N' Tired" got Whitey Cooper some serious applause
tonight. Norman did a new song for the first time tonight..."Shackin'
Up". Norman promised they're actually gonna learn this new song. Second
set started with 3 slide songs. "End Of The Line", "You Go Your Way" and
"Little Things" which totally crushed tonight. An old fan yelled out for
"When I Die And Go To Hell" and Norman dedicated it to any transgressors
or fornicators who might be in the audience. Harry who is both a
transgressor and a fornicator really appreciated the gesture. It all
closed won with "Ain't It Amazin'" and "Smoke Two Joints". Cowtown we
love ya!

Ain't Gonna Happen", "I Seen Too Much", "Who Dat Do Dat", "This Ain't
Gettin' It". Very powerful opening! Then Norman did the Ray Charles'
classic "I Can't Stop Loving You" with Harry Bottoms singing a great
high harmony part. "Who Were You Thinking Of". Whitey closed the night
croonin' "White Christmas", "6345789", "Try Me" and "Mojo". Pete Oddo

Crystal II: 300 Water Street, East Brady, PA 724-526-3746
10 PM - 2 AM - Fri.
There's a whole lot of nice people in East Brady. Norman said he'd never
been there before, although there seemed to be a real musical
connection. It was fun to watch the people's faces as the heard the
Pittsburgh rock n' roll; music for the first time. Songs like "Sick N'
Tired", "Graceland", "Nothin' To Lose" and "Play" really connected with
the locals. After an hour of Norman songs, Norman answered a request for
Johnny Cash and the place went nuts. "Bow Legged Woman" got a great
reaction tonight also. In the last set, old friend and club owner Bobby
Kellor got up on acoustic guitar with the guys as they backed up and
sang a local girl singing that song by four non-blondes. Then Bobby sang
"Honky Tonk Woman". It all went down so smooth. No wonder when Norman
said "hey! It's 2:30 in the morning! We gotta get back to the ghetto!"
Also, Norman sang "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" after a special request and
even he sounded surprised because it sounded pretty damn good. Love
those small towns in Pensyltucky!

"Bulldog", "Looks Are Deceivin', "Last Night I Had A Dream", "Nothin' To
Lose". Norman talked about the Cleveland Clowns comin' to town and goin'
down! Looking back, Norman was right about the Cleveland Clowns coming
to town and goin' down! Yeah baby! "Over, Said & Done", "Sick n'
Tired"...Whitey's vocals were soaring with the eagle in otherwise dead
silence when Jimmy SInclair honked his nose and cause spontaneous
laughter. Laughter's good. The first set ended with Norman singing
"Norman My Love". Is Norman homo for himself?! The second set opened
with "My Old Rock N' Roll Guitar", followed by "You Go Your Way". It was
the first time Norman played slide guitar on that song. Harry Bottoms
got cheers from the audience for "Pots n' Pans". Intense version of "Burnin'
Up" tonight. "Rock You" got everybody out on the dance floor. Chuck
Berry's "Round n' Round" gave Norman a chance to rip some serious
guitar. "Help Me Make It Through The Night" closed it all out. Amen. (Pics
will be up soon in the Pics Gallery)

Wilberts: (New
club Downtown Cleveland by "The Jake" (Jacob's Field)
9:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. - Sat.
Following the Bruce Springsteen concert across the street at Gund
Arena!
Note: Those attending Bruce Springsteen’s “Vote for Change” show at the
Gund get in free with their ticket stub!
What a great lookin' club! The first set rocked the half filled
house. Norman was talkin' loud and walkin' proud...a bold move during
football season. Well everybody knows that Norman has more balls than
brains. NN took advantage of the intimate setting mixing music and
conversation to really connect with the audience. During the break,
around 200 rock n' roll fans came ouring into the club as the Bruce
Springsteen show at Gund Aren had just let out. Hey bartender! Gimme a
shot n' a beer! "Boilermaker" started set two. Then Bang! "Rock N' Roll
City!" NN yelled out, "we'd like to do the poorman's National
Anthem..."White Trash Tragedy", followed up by the workingman's special
"High Times". Yeah, all you newcomers, you're lookin' at the rock n'
roll catfish! The man who has been eating off the bottom of the tank for
the last 40 years. You wanna mess with him?! "This Ain't Gettin' It",
"Heat Of The Night", "Graceland", "End Of The Line"...Norman cried out
"is anybody here from Pittsburgh?!" Over half of the people yelled back,
so he immediately performed a sad but beautiful song..."It's A Long Way
To Pittsburgh PA" and chased it with "Ole Number 21", ALL while
wearing his white Iron City Beer T-shirt! Remember what I said about
more balls than brains...Aren't we playin' the Browns next week!?

THIS IS THE NEWLY RESCHEDULED CD RELEASE DATE!!!
Moondog's: 378
Freeport Rd, Blawnox, PA (412) 828-2040
9 p.m. - Friday!
Official Norman Nardini "Redemption" CD
Release Party!!!!! (Part II)
Norman started off the show2 wearing a
shirt with a collar! What's up with that? He said it was a gift from
Iron City Beer, his favorite beverage. How bout those new aluminum
bottles?! A sultry version of "Bulldog" started off the night.
Let's
rock! "Rock n' Roll City", "White Trash Tragedy", "High Times". A great
version of the new song "Graceland" really stood out. A well placed
"Poor Little Rich Kid" took the audience by surprise. Then a trip back
to 1979 with "That Girl". Phil Brontz came up to the stage and blew
"T-Bird" up big time! Norman sang a slower more relaxed version of "Bow
Legged Woman" that featured Phil on the tenor sax solo. NN pulled out
his white tiger guitar and slide and ripped "Ready Freddy". Enter Vinnie
Q on guitar who stayed up for the rest of the set. "Heat Of The Night"
turned up the heat! The two guitar version of "Boilermaker" sounded cool
as hell! Vinnie then setup Norman for a crushin' solo on "Nothin To
Lose". "Love Dog" and "Gorilla" two Norman animal songs in a row. And
God told Noah...Gather the animals two by two..."Rock You" gave Vinnie a
little chance to do some choppin'. Phil Brontz closed out the first set
with a great treatment of "Burnin' Up". Norman rapped about radio
airplay and asked the people to let the radio stations know about this
Pittsburgh rock n' roll music. Moondog put a great buffet out and
everybody greased. "Armed And Dangerous" was the perfect opener to the
second set. A heartfelt "You Go Your Way" featured a killer sax solo by
Mr. Brontz. "Weekend" lifted the whole room up. Next stop..."End Of The
Line". Norman called up bass player Mr. Shades to sing "Make It With
You", while Shades was puttin' on a show, Norman's sound man Ray
handled the lead guitar parts admirably. Then Ray sang "Big Girl Now".
It rocked! Way to go Ray! Whitey Cooper came up front and sang "Shamalama
Ding Dong" while Norman's cousin Pete Oddo played the drums. The night
closed out with a wild version of "Shake, Rattle n' Roll" that gave Phil
Brontz a chance to put on a clinic of 1950's style tenor saxophone work.
And so it was...we came, we saw, we rocked. We've been Redeemed! We've
been baptized into Pittsburgh rock n' roll! Then Norman said "now get
the hell outta here!" We thank you for helping us to sell out of Cds!
You are loved! By the way, we just got a fresh batch of Redemption CDs
in today! Click here to get yours!
